Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

What kind of woman would yell at her husband when he asked for $10? Then feel horrible when she found out he wanted to buy her some really cute sunglasses? Not me!

Who wears contacts that have a layer of salt on them from all the tears she has cried? Not me!

Surely I did not yell at my kids for losing my remote control, and then find it right next to my butt on the couch! Not me!

I definitely did not tell my daughter to pull her shirt down over her skirt to hide 2 holes in it! Not me!

I most certainly did not make my 3 girlies help set up at my cousin's wedding shower! Then sit in the rocker and visit with family. Not me!

I did not justify buying a $50 purse and getting a mani/pedi all because our meal at Applebee's stunk again and it was free! Not me!

Who lets her Dad and daughter pressure wash her house while she takes a nap? Not me!

Summer Fun

Yesterday the girls and I went to the zoo. We met several family members there that we have not seen in a while. The time together was great. It is so funny how it used to be all about me and my cousins having fun. Now, it is about our kids having fun. And they did. Anyone other than me ever notice how it just isn't as much fun once you are grown up? Mainly because I hurt when I walk, but anyway......

They often pretend that they like each other!

The whole bunch of kiddos!

Not Me! Monday

Surely I did not make my daughter start a "First Cleanse" at the age of 13. And it was not at all because she eats only carbs! Not me!

I did not allow my children to believe we were going to play Putt Putt Golf. And I certainly did not take them to get tires on my car and my oil changed instead! Not me!

I definitely did not want to yank my 8 year old son out of his "grandparents" car because he was giving me those "help me eyes"! Not me!

I did not almost kill the muscles in my arm feeding nectar to birds today! Not me!

Certainly I did not want to steal the Pygmy Marmoset out of his cage because he was giving me the sweetest eyes! Not me!

And I did not guilt trip my husband into finally planning our vacation to Niagara Falls this summer. And of course I did not insist on going "kid free". Not me!

Sad Mommy

First of all, my somewhat dense self fixed the whole comment thing. I was starting to develop a complex! My baby boys left today for 14 days. I say it that way because for some reason, 14 days seems less than 2 weeks to me. I already miss them terribly! I truly feel like someone has taken out a piece of my heart. This is supposed to be their B.M.(birth mother's) summer(supervised)visitation. She will use none of it, so I am now sharing my kids' summer with their grandparents. Since when do people give birth and just ignore the fact that they have kids? Touch screen phones and new clothes are WAY more important than their own offspring. I don't understand it, and I don't think I ever will. I am just glad that I married their Daddy and have this opportunity to be their Mommy. They certainly deserve one! :)

Who wouldn't miss those faces???

Today, they got their "Summer Mohawks"!

This is their reward every year for making good grades! :)

They love it!

It is really too bad we can't do this to the girls' hair too!

My G.G.

Today my second born, my g.g.(good girlfriend), graduated from 5'th grade! What? How is that even possible? She is now a middle schooler. I just want her to be a baby whose biggest worry is a nasty diaper! :) I am a very proud Mommy. She was given the President's Educational Award for having a 3.5 GPA or higher, AND she got a $50 Walmart gift card for her awesome FCAT scores. Which I plan on spending later today! :) I am thankful to God on this day for blessing me with such a sweet, loving, and bright child. Now I am just praying that she will stand her ground on all the moral issues that will arise at that "school" next year!
They love each other sooooo much! :)
