Not blog worthy

This past week has been quite uneventful. I have been trying to feel better from my surgery and now I have either bronchitis or the flu. So, things have been pretty foggy for me. And needless to say, keeping up with 5 kids when you feel like this is quite a chore! My 35'th birthday was Sunday which I spent with some friends and then my family. Here are some pics of our week!

This is what I got from Blue when I asked for a glass bowl. She listens well, don't you think???

I Embrace It

I am really, truly getting old. I went for my "yearly"(I haven't been in 3 years!) exam yesterday. I try very hard not to get my hopes up about anything anymore. I guess maybe that makes me a pessimist?!? Anyway, I was really hoping that the Dr. would mention this certain procedure that I want. That was the first thing he said when he walked in the door. So, I am all scheduled to have this surgery done tomorrow. I am a little sad because Husband can't take me. He has to work. But having this done now, and not feeling like crap anymore when my herd gets out of school for the summer makes it all worth it! I wonder if being excited about something SO non exciting makes me an old lady??? Yes? Well, so be it. I accept the title and I embrace it. Especially tomorrow! :)

My Mother's Day Weekend

Well, since my boys could not be with me this weekend, I did a bad thing and let them miss school Friday! We spent the day together just the 3 of us. Anytime I have less than 5 kids around me, I am thrilled. They are the sweetest boys ever and they appreciate having a Mommy more than most kids! We did breakfast, some cartoons at home, then the park and Subway. Here are some pics of our day...

I sent pink and purple to their Papa's house Fri. night so I could have some peace and quiet on Saturday. Mom's deserve that, right? :) Last night my little girlies snuck over to my Mom's house and made me a pecan pie. That was my breakfast this morning! YUM!(2 slices not the whole thing!) Thank you Lord for my 5 little blessings! I must also thank God on this day more than any other that my Mom survived her battle with breast cancer this year! I am so blessed to still have her around! Even if I did make Pink help her with the dishes today so that I wouldn't have to! I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!
